*sigh*

Thanksgiving is still taking a toll on me. After having Johnny home for 4 days...I think it's going to take the kids a while to get back into their routine.

Thanksgiving dinner was GREAT! We had a few of Johnny's soldiers come over for Thanksgiving dinner. I'm not sure what they enjoyed the most....the dinner that I cooked or playing with Anna's and Buba's toys. I should have taken a picture. It looked like I had had a classroom of preschoolers come through. :)

Our tree is up and the presents are wrapped and under it. This is the first year that I didn't wait till Christmas Eve to put the presents under and all day Anna has thought that it was Christmas Eve already.

What will this Christmas bring for us?...

The Holidays...

There have been many things that have been going around in my head at the moment. There is one in particular that is really bothering me.

As we all know the Holidays are officially upon us. I can't help but notice how many people are popping up saying how offended they are when someone says "Happy Holidays" to them. I mean, really?

Not everybody is a Christian...and not everybody celebrates Christmas in the Baby Jesus sort of way. I do....so don't start getting mad or throwing a fit about it..I'm just saying.

How do you think you would feel if someone said, "Happy Hanukkah" to you?...and you aren't Jewish. Or ask how Kwanzaa was going and you don't celebrate that holiday.

When someone says "Happy Holidays"...They mean "insert your Holiday here".

So....during this holiday season I would like to present everybody with a Challenge...spread you your blessings.

We sold a bike...

That's how it all started...

We sold a bike and bought a tent. Ever since then we haven't been home a single weekend.

We went camping...it had been my first camping trip EVER. We got there and it was great. We set up the tent. Went over to the lake cause Johnny wanted to use his water purification system (pretty awesome!), made an appearance at the playground and then hurried over to our home sweet home for the night cause it was getting dark....and COLD. Silently I was freaking out. What had I gotten myself into? The ranger station had the weather for that night posted at 27 degrees. I was really going to do this....holy crap....I was almost 2 hours away from my nice warm bed.

I looked at Johhny and I smiled. He was over the top happy. He made us a nice little fire, and even cooked dinner for us. Anna played in the dirt while Buba ate a little dirt. Just like that I was warm all over. It couldn't have been any more perfect. I could hear the water from the lake (cause even though it was a smallish sort of lake it had waves that could've given Hawaii's waves a run for their money), Johnny was singing about Jesus building a mansion for him, Anna was calling my name, Buba was...well he was still eating dirt. My family. My Happy Ending.
